Tips for An Exceptional, Superb and Powerful Life!

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate antidepressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. Buy a TiVo (DVR) and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.

4. When you wake up in the morning, complete the following statement:

- "My purpose today is to..............................."

5. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.

6. Watch more movies, play more games, and read more books than you did last year.

Chicken For Thanksgiving: Dealing with Divorce During the Thanksgiving Holiday

Imagine having a chicken dinner on Thanksgiving!

What would Thanksgiving be without the turkey and the trimmings? To many people, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving. Ironically, we eat more chicken than turkey on a year-round basis. However, we have grown accustomed to eating turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Having a chicken dinner would be a big change that few people would accept.

It has to do with our perception. Humans are creatures of habit. We like stability and dislike change.

Our focus this month is on setting effective goals and in accomplishing those goals. The first step, of course, is to set SMART goals. To assist you in this task, check out the following 8 tips:

  1. State each goal as a positive statement: For example, stating your goal as “I will exercise 2 times this week” is more effective than “I will not be a lazy couch potato this week”.
